I must say, its been a long night.
Went to wait at SOC1-809 at 5pm sharp. There was the usual before PE atmosphere except that this time, I'm the student (not the invigilator). And we waited..
and waited..
Till 5.20pm. Some guy went into the room to switch on the lights, thus we entered. We were given instructions that we will need to login to some account online where the online test will be administered. The most problematic thing was that some proctor will have to enter the code manually for each and every 100 of us before we can even start attemping any question.
And so we waited again.
I was very impatient already as even if they had kept their punctuality I'd have to squeeze in dinner time then rush to Choir practice LATE. Not to mention that I'm so not keen on taking the test anymore as the certification doesn't seem useful (CXXX uses mysql). Also, I might not pass anyway since I didn't manage to finish studying. URgh. So i smsed my darling trying to keep my cool. (Otherwise I'd be screaming at the proctor, at bressan at all the stupid pple who's involved in the delay.)
And then it was 6.20pm. The proctor is slowly approaching my row. If I were to wait till he came to activate my account, and assuming I rush thru the test in 60 mins( meant to be a 90 min test), I'd get to leave at 7.30pm, hungry. If i eat, i can make my way to Choir at 8pm and probably reach slightly after 8pm if i'm lucky to catch a bus. However, I decided to use more conservatives estimate which ended up in me arriving at Choir just nice when it ends at 9.30pm. So it didn't make sense. I walked up to Bressan and told him it's not possible for me to take the test at 6.30pm as I need to practice as I have a performance on Sat. Bressan was nice, he made sure i signed so i get the 100 bucks back etc.
Overall, it was a very pissful 1hour and 20 minutes. I was still very pissed after I left cos that meant I had wasted yesterday studying when I could've done my laundry, cleaned my room, tidied up the cupboard or go shopping!
Damn. Now i do hate NUS + SoC + IBM.
